The hills that encircle the port offer a vantage point to capture some of the most amazing photographs you'll ever take. The Blue Caves are situated in the northern part of Zante and are among the most popular attractions on the island. These unique caves were discovered back in 1897 and the biggest one is called the Blue Grotto. To explore them, we will take a boat trip.
Next, you will be visiting The Hidden Shipwreck Cove. It's a stunning beach with turquoise waters, white cliffs, and the rusted remains of a shipwreck. This makes it one of the most unique beaches in the world. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a swim at a secluded beach.
As we continue our adventure through the wild northern region of Zakynthos Island, heading towards the secluded Village of Volimes. Once we arrive there, you can stop and meet our local contact named Artemis, who is named after the Greek Goddess of the hunt. You will have an opportunity to try locally produced goods and enjoy a small meal before taking a walk around the charming village square.
As we emerge from the rugged wilderness. We'll embark on a brief journey to a monastery that, despite being relatively new, still serves as a testament to ancient times. Once we arrive at Anafonitria, you'll have the opportunity to capture stunning photos while strolling around the well-tended grounds. After taking in the sights, you're welcome to unwind for a while at the cozy and inviting family-owned café
As we drive along the country roads and pass through small villages, we make our way towards the summit of Zakynthos island. We come across a section of off-road that takes us high above the rest of the island. Once we reach the top of the island, you can expect to see the entire northeast of the island, with the majestic Kefalonia in the background, which makes for spectacular photo opportunities.
We will now begin our descent towards the coast, where you will find Porto Roxa, a small fishing port known for its breathtaking sunsets. Before you enjoy your well-deserved three-course meal, we will take a refreshing dip in the tranquil waters of Roxa. The water here is fresh and detoxifying, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can take the plunge from the diving board that juts out from the rock face.
